Collectively Monnington House, Garden Cottage and The Cider Mill sleeps up to 24 guests (12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms). Or you can book Monnington House and Garden Cottage together for groups of up to 18 people (9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms).

Our central location makes us the ideal choice for group bookings, gathering people together from across the UK. Guests travel from Cornwall, London, the North East and North West and everywhere between. We’re also not far from Fishguard, so it’s easy to get here from Ireland too.
Sociable space for all
The kitchen and adjoining dining areas (both inside and outside) at Monnington House all have lots of room for the whole group. So there’s somewhere for everyone to eat and drink together. (Caterers are available). Plus within the glorious grounds and gardens there’s a large playing field, a games room and table tennis room. You would have exclusive use of these as a group booking. Lots of opportunities for a friendly game or two.
Flexible, stylish accommodation
All the bedrooms except one have super-king zip and link beds which can be made into twin beds if required. The bedroom that doesn’t have this is also a twin. So whether you’ll be sharing a room with a life partner, best pal or work colleague, bed configurations can be matched to suit your needs.
Activities galore
There’s so much to do in the area, it’s easy to fill your days having fun together.
Walkers love this part of the world, simply step out of the door and start exploring. There are routes to suit all abilities. Immediately available in Monnington on Wye you can join the Wye Valley walk or pick up part of the Bucolic Walker or just wander through the apple orchards nearby. Just across the river is Moccas Park National Nature Reserve or you could head up Hay Bluff. (Remember that our holiday accommodation is dog-friendly too).
Bookworms adore it here. Visit the second-hand bookshops in Weobley and Hay on Wye and see the medieval Mappa Mundi in Hereford.
Those that want to get outside and get active are also spoiled for choice. Go wild swimming on the River Wye, canoe at nearby Byecross, cycle along scenic bike trails, enjoy go-karting at Weobley or take on some team challenges at Battlelands. Ideal for team-building weekends or friends’ reunions.
