As autumn arrives, the woodburners and underfloor heating start coming to life again, and the Aga becomes the centre of activity in the kitchen, so we start to reflect on our year and look ahead to 2025.
This year has been a busy and happy one for us all at Monnington House, Garden Cottage and The Cider Mill, and we’ve enjoyed welcoming both new and returning guests. This summer we revealed our new outside seating and dining areas, and while the weather has been warm enough to be outside they’ve been popular areas for relaxing, eating and drinking. It’s now time to put the cashmere blankets on the beds, snuggle up under cosy throws and start thinking about Christmas decorations. Whether you’re thinking about a winter break or planning ahead for 2025 (or beyond), bring up to 24 people and 4 dogs to our peaceful part of Herefordshire and relax.

🎾 padel, tennis and squash at Hereford Squash, Tennis and Racketball Centre
For anyone not feeling that energetic, we’ve got board games, books, smart TVs and plenty of space just to sit and relax.
Book our properties according to your numbers; Monnington House sleeps 12, Garden Cottage sleeps 6 (or combine with Monnington House to sleep 18), and The Cider Mill sleeps 6, all on one level.
Whether you book The Cider Mill for a small group, or take all three properties for a larger crowd, you will find bedrooms each with an ensuite or accompanying bathroom, space to gather together or spread out inside or outside, and kitchens with all the equipment you could need. The dining area in Monnington House can seat 24, and although we can provide caterers, with Oakchurch Farm Shop and its butchery, deli, and local fruit and veg only just over a mile away, you’ll always have provisions for self-catering.
